Growing Pains (& Gains)

As with most things in life, with growth comes some pain. Yet, “growing pains always concentrate in the muscles” which means that we will be stronger and more powerful as a result of this rebuilding process. When Jason asked me to step in as interim president six weeks ago, I was thrilled to help. I have seen great potential for this group and am truly excited to have the chance to introduce some new ideas and concepts.

Unfortunately, we have needed to do some housekeeping and have lost some members in the process. Quite a few of our charter members no longer maintain blogs and several have chosen not to remain in the group for other personal reasons. At the same time, I am delighted to welcome eleven new bloggers to our ranks: Southern Boy Dishes, Eating With Erica, Happily Eating, Good Eats Mundial, Runnin' Srilankan, Sprint 2 the TableBritt's BlurbsMiss Foodie Fab, Burgers BBQ and Everything Else, Do.Food.Better., Peaches Please. Our membership drive is still on-going (so be sure to tell your blogger friends) and we have several other amazing foodies that are considering joining the group.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we continue to enhance the credibility of our Society and strengthen our core membership with the goal of creating a strong presence in the Atlanta food community and beyond.
