At Murphy's for Meatless Monday

I am all about trying something different. In a previous post, I spoke about having healthy meals that were also delicious and when I thought about the idea of a meatless meal, I said to myself, “how tasty could this really be?” I want to start eating more veggies than I do now and I thought I would take this opportunity to be inspired by what Murphy’s Restaurant had to offer.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely hostess and escorted over to the wine “room”. I sat down with a few other bloggers from Crush Crave, Pretty Southern, and We Like 2 Cook to enjoy an amazing glass of Cuvee Beatrice Prosecco, while we got some pointers on how to properly uncork a bottle. The Cuvee Beatrice was very good, not to dry and not too sweet, it was perfectly balanced. And the food...

Our main course of the tempura fried squash blossoms was truly amazing! I have never tried squash blossoms and had no idea that you could even use them for cooking. The flavors meshed so well together and the mushrooms provides a “meaty” texture to the dish and the hand-rolled gnocchi melted in your mouth.
