July 4th Recipe Round-Up

Every year we head outdoors to celebrate summer on Independence Day. Food, fireworks and friends, what could be better? We've put together some of our best recipes for you to make the most out of your summer entertaining. We would like to emphasize that the secret to a successful cookout is in the planning. Whether you will be grilling hamburgers or maybe steaks, smoking BBQ ribs or brisket, or even tossing some veggies on the barbie, we have the recipes to get you started.

SWEETS:

Grilled Watermelon Steaks

Watermelon, 1” slices
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine sugar, pepper and salt in a bowl and sprinkle on the watermelon slices just before grilling. Grill watermelon for about 3 minutes per side or until the melon is warm and lightly charred. The natural sugars in the watermelon caramelize and are simply divine.
